Free to join, with one clear exchange: every new member submits at least one individual-level project within 30 days. It can be an open-source application, developer tool, CLI, website, API, library, automation tool, database project, educational project, or useful self-hosted application. It does not need to be huge. The goal is to demonstrate that you are building.

Shared infrastructure that turns a project into a practice.

Verified members receive access to a pooled, fair-use resource layer designed for development, learning, experimentation, and open-source or community projects. The club is built around capacity planning and shared infrastructure, not expensive dedicated machines for every member.

A clean path from first project to trusted stewardship.

Surfers start in onboarding with community access and limited development resources. Verified Surfers unlock the full member package after completing the 30-day project. Active Surfers contribute regularly. Orca Contributors help with infrastructure, documentation, moderation, tooling, or club projects. Orca Core is a small trusted group responsible for security, governance, finances, and major technical decisions.

Make the 30-day rule visible from day one.

A project is complete when it has a public or club-visible repository, a README, a working demonstration, basic documentation, a license, and member attribution. Production-grade is not the point. A shipped learning artifact is.
